Presenter:  Student-Faculty Town Hall Meeting

The Graduate Student Organization invites all students and faculty to participate in a public forum regarding the stakes of anthropology as a discipline and practice under the current political climate. The event will feature brief faculty and student presentations by Jim Ferguson, Angela Garcia, Mike Wilcox, Barb Voss, Koji Ozawa, Nethra Samarawickrama, and Firat Bozcali, but is meant to be an open discussion. Topics covered will range from the relationship between scholarship and university politics, the place of community engagement in anthropology, the obligations and limitations of working with institutions, and concrete ways of developing strategies for our own protection and empowerment as anthropologists (see attached agenda for more details). Light dinner will be served-- delicious Indian food from Darbar! We hope to see you all there.
