Research Interests:
Capitalism, mobility, the Global South, secessionism, Africa, Nigeria, race and gender, creativity and value

My research interests surround the politics of contemporary mercantile work and commercial platforms connecting the Global South. My current research project focuses on the notable presence and work of Nigerian merchants in contemporary trade sites across Africa, the Middle East, & Asia. The project investigates processes of identity, sovereignty and marketcraft, and the politics of profit and value along transnational trade routes. Last year, I was a teaching fellow at the Center for Comparative Studies in Race and Ethnicity, and this year I am a Stanford SEED writing fellow.
