Sunidhi Pacharne
Sunidhi's ethnographic inquiry surveys how caste structures intimate desire, and the attendant social ramifications of this process. She is exploring the emergent possibilities of negotiation shaped by sex, stigma and sociability within (and without) dominant caste communities and spaces in the Indian state of Maharashtra. Through this inquiry, she wishes to disentangle how Dalit womanhood is formed beyond the contested terrains of caste-based honor and individuated dignity. She has done her M.A in Sociology and was awarded an MPhil in Political Studies from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. She enjoys embroidering and mediocre television.
