Saniya Ahmad

Saniya Ahmad is a PhD candidate in Anthropology at Stanford University. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Lady Shri Ram College for Women, University of Delhi, and an M.Phil. with distinction in Modern South Asian Studies from the University of Cambridge, where she was an Inlaks scholar. Her research interests span themes in the anthropology of Islam, the aftermath of political events, the anthropology of the state, questions of subjectivity and temporality, and Islamic intellectual history.
