Salma is a graduate student in sociocultural anthropology, interested in the study of cultural preservation and tradition in the age of machine learning, focusing specifically on technofuturism in the Gulf and the greater Arab world. Salma has worked on several projects focused on technology, tradition, and culture across the Middle East — from Greece, Jordan, and Lebanon, to Saudi Arabia and the UAE. She graduated with a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Chicago.
