I am broadly interested in exploring Black women’s relationship to the State, police, and the criminal legal system in Atlanta, Georgia. Specifically, I am interested in exploring how solidarity textures Black women’s understanding of themselves as legal subjects and how working in the criminal legal system shifts various conceptions of community. I received by B.A. In Anthropology and Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies from Emory University where I was a Mellon Undergraduate Fellow. In my free-time I like to crochet and analyze Real Housewives.
