My research examines how technology — such as facial recognition, biometric scanners, satellites, and drones — is applied in border management and law enforcement. I am interested in how these technologies mediate the way that knowledge about populations is produced and how these technologies extend bordering logics and practices beyond the territorial boundary line. I hold a B.A. in Development Studies from the University of California, Berkeley and an M.Sc. in Environmental Science from Yale University.
