My research interests revolve around critique, as a concept, contemporary pastoralism, Arctic livelihoods, and expectations to what is considered a political or critical act by whom. My work is often placed within a Scandinavian context and its colonial past and present, these reaching into connected peoples and places around the world. I aim to explore these topics with Sámi reindeer herders in Northern Sápmi, where I conducted fieldwork for my master’s thesis. Before joining Stanford, I completed an MPhil in Social Anthropology at the University of Oxford and a BSc in Anthropology at the University of Copenhagen.
