North Africa
My research questions are spun from fibers of soil, vital environmental resources, poetry, and agrarian epistemologies in North Africa. I seek to study the political life of soil in the region and soil’s role in the production of scientific knowledge and cultural identity. As a poet, I also hold particular interests in experimental, multispecies ethnography and ethnographic storytelling. Prior to coming to Stanford, I graduated with a B.A. in anthropology from Smith College and was a Fulbright research grantee to Morocco
