Anti-colonial resistance
As an aspiring archaeologist and scholar of the African Diaspora, I am interested in the ways that Afro-Caribbean people have navigated landscapes of food insecurity and disenfranchisement caused by European colonial imposition, systems of enslavement, and the cash crop industry since the 16th century. I received my BA from UC Santa Cruz in 2024 with a major in anthropology and minor in Black studies. My research experience includes historic archaeology, ceramic analysis, and cultural heritage management.
