He leads the International Research Working Group, sponsored by the Vice Provost and Dean of Research, as well as the university’s International Response Team. He is a sponsor of numerous technology projects designed to make OIA the international networking hub for Stanford’s international activities.

Vinita Bali is the Associate Director, Global, within the Risk Management Department.  A fourteen year veteran to international education, she brings to the position extensive world-wide academic program management experience -- both from the remote planning and operational perspective, as well as locational teaching and experiential learning perspective.  She has managed programs from concept to conclusion, and taught international law domestically and in foreign locations.  Whether from the operational or teaching perspectives, Vinita has planned for and responded to a multitude of international risk planning and management issues related to the health, safety and security of faculty and students.  She sees her role at Stanford as one that enables and supports the successful conclusion of its academic, research and experiential learning projects world-wide.
