Abstract: 

Join us for a conversation about “collegiality,” a prized quality in academia, but one which is rarely discussed or defined. Some of the questions we will discuss: What do we mean by “collegiality”? What is the relationship between collegiality and community? What are obstacles to collegiality and community?

Bio: 

Dr. Chris Golde, Career Educator, BEAM-Stanford Career Education. Chris has worked in doctoral education for over 20 years as a researcher, scholar, faculty member, administrator, student, advocate and critical friend. She has worked at Stanford in the VPGE office as well as her current role at BEAM.

Ken Hsu, Director of the Graduate Life Office and Assistant Vice Provost for Student Affairs. Ken has worked at Stanford for over a decade, working closely with graduate students and departments, helping students navigate the challenges and joys of academic and personal life at Stanford.
